Artist Statement
Art is powerful. It can reshape and move a culture. Art can transform a room and carry a different mood from one space to the next. My art is a depiction of myself stepping into my own force of energy, finding the magic that lives within every one of us. The power to change our own lives and watch the flowers that bloom from buds to petals. My artworks are like little gems of my personality, interests and experiences. They mix into interesting surreal themes. My art also depicts women stepping into the unknown and blooming from within. I hope to evoke and influence the magic within each viewer and to know that we are not alone. We all have growing pains and need to learn and let our pasts die in order to grow; And Ultimately become the person our souls have always been. Be Yourself, everyone else is taken.
Artist Bio
Born and raised on the Pacific Coast in San Luis Obispo County, California, USA, Nicole has studied and created art since a small child, earning the Art Department Award in High School her senior year, taking workshops at the Art Institute and leading up to study at Cuesta Community College to study and gain an Associates Degree in Art Studio, 2017.
A graduate of Milan Art Institute 2020, Nicole has found her magic and fire from within, creating surrealist paintings of powerful transformational men and woman in her artworks. Common themes in her art consist of Transformation, Growth, Self Love, Change, and overcoming obstacles. Nicole creates art that are like “little gems” of her personality, experiences, and interests all combined into her paintings.
Currently trying new techniques and styles, Nicole is redefining who she is as an artist and figuring out her own way in this chaotic and changing world.
